By law, Credit Union are to hold their Annual General Meeting before the ending of May in any given year.

These AGMs as they are commonly know is the opportunity for members to be updated on developments and advances that their credit union has experienced. 

It includes a detailed report on the finances of the credit union, both income and expenses. 

Of importance are the following:

• Election of Board Members
• Election of Credit and Supervisory Committee members
• Approval of Resolutions
• Approval of Dividend
  

Presiding Officer

The President of the Board of Directors presides over the AGM and is responsible along with the MC to ensure a smooth transition throughout the AGM.

• Board members are elected for 3 year terms.

• Other committee members are elected for one year term.
